This year our local high school football team’s successes did our community proud. Eastside High School almost brought us home a state champion trophy.
All Newton County teams play their home games at Homer Sharp Stadium.
Late last year the Newton County school system announced a new program that will help fund the Newton County Foundation for Education Excellence as well as all three of the high school’s athletics programs.
For only $30 you can purchase a brick with your family’s name on it or a brick to honor someone you know — maybe you would like to honor a certain graduating senior. This cost also is tax deductible.
All proceeds from these permanent memorials will go to the foundation and athletics programs and then bricks will be displayed at the stadium.
