The Newton Fund, a local nonprofit group that encourages philanthropy and supports other non-profits, has honored Mary Arnwine as Newton Counties volunteer of the year.

This award was well deserved: Ms. Arnwine's has a long list of volunteer credentials.

In addition, the Newton Fund distributed $26,812 to several local non-profits.
