Here in Newton County in the 95th district we will now be represented - and we use that term loosely - by Toney Collins, who was elected on Nov. 4 by doing nothing.
 He rode into office firmly hanging on to the coattails of the Democratic surge this country experienced. He was inaccessible to our reporters, a college student wrote a letter to the editor about his vanishing man trick and he showed up late at the candidates' forum we and the Chamber of Commerce sponsored only to distribute his campaign material and promptly leave.
 Mr. Collins we hope you prove us wrong on our doubts about your abilities to represent us, but by your past performances we doubt you will.
