The Covington Rotary Club will be taking applications next week Nov. 10 through Nov. 14 at the Salvation Army, located at 5193 Washington Street, for their annual Christmas Stocking Fund.
The Rotarians will provide gifts this year to children ages infant to 13.
The first 1,000 children signed up next week will have a little happier Christmas because of the Rotarians.
Speaking of our Rotarians, they have stepped up to the plate during our economic crisis and have donated $1,000 to the Covington Food pantry.
Thank you Rotarians.
You too can help if you go to our Web site www.covnews.com. There you will find a list of local ministries to which you can donate. The Rotarians have proved that Newton County folks do take care of their own; won't you please join them.
