For years the Covington Police Department has conducted a very successful and poplar 5K run — the Fuzz Run — in September.

The profits from this run are used to bolster the department’s memorial fund for the families of officers injured or killed in the line or duty, scholarships and other community educational efforts.

To that end, the Covington Fire Department will be holding their inaugural 5K fundraiser run on May 22.
