Recently we saw a mailer sent out by one of our local candidates for state senator.

The mailer was very smartly designed and we are sure it cost the candidate a pretty penny.

The whole piece dealt with illegal immigration. It contained very true statements, but we don’t think that at this time it’s the most pressing issue concerning the voters of the area. In the immortal words of former President Bill Clinton, "it’s the economy, stupid."
