Our thoughts... Georgia prisoners

Some Georgia prisoners on Wednesday ended a week-long, nonviolent protest and started reporting to their work assignments.

Among their complaints was lack of pay, the quality of food, lack of fruits and vegetables, quality of medical care, availability of education and job training programs, parole decisions and just general overall conditions. Awwww.

We have an idea for our incoming governor, Nathan Deal: Feed the prisoner’s bread and water for the next year. The savings on food could then go to a newly created fund that would assist law-abiding citizens in the state who actually try to do the right thing.
