Eastside High School’s soaring football Eagles after a rocky start have battled back to play in the second round of the playoffs tonight on the road against their nemesis, Cairo High School.

Cairo knocked the Eagles out of the semifinal round of the playoffs two years ago and then went on to win the AAA state championship.

Our Eagles seem to have reached their full fighting stride and have a good chance to come home with a win.

We wish the Eagles well in their quest for victory tonight. They are carrying with them the pride and hopes of our whole community.
