Our Thoughts... Congratulations coach

We are fortunate in our community to be the home of a location of Georgia Perimeter College.

The college’s growth is paramount to ensuring that our community attracts new industry and business in the future.

Currently located at the college is a real gem — a state of the art baseball field that is as striking and functional as any you will find in the country.

The person in charge of recruiting players to play on that field of dreams is also a real gem — his name is Danny Blue.

Blue led the Jaguars, who were projected at best to have a break-even year to a record of 38-14 and to the regional championship.

In leading his team, Blue was named the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association Coach of the Year for his accomplishments.

Blue, in his third year at GPC, was previously the successful head baseball coach at Heritage High in Rockdale County for 26 years and its football coach for eight years.

One of Blue’s assistant coaches said, "He demands a lot from our guys and they respond." As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

Congratulations to the Georgia Perimeter Jaguars and to Coach of the Year Danny Blue for your accomplishments.
