These are exciting times for students and faculty of Newton High as they prepare for the opening of the new Newton High School in a few weeks.
And this week, they have a new leader as well.
Superintendent of Newton Schools Samantha Fuhrey has announced that Eclan David will become Newton’s new principal.
David comes to Newton from the Griffin-Spalding School system, where he served as principal at Carver Road Middle School in Griffin for nine years.
Fuhrey, in announcing his appointment, said that David “is highly regarded in the Griffin-Spaulding School System. He has a proven track record, and it has prepared him well to continue the tremendous progress that the Newton County School System has made over the last three years.”
Newton High School is the pride and joy of many longtime residents of the county.
We look forward to welcoming David to town as he leads NHS into a new era of continued pride and success.
