The Atlanta Zoo announced this week that it’s asking the public to suggest names for its cute new panda twins.

Some suggestions zoo officials have made include Mei Lun and Mei Hua.

We realize the pandas are here because of the generosity of the Chinese government, but why can’t they be given names that make sense to Americans? After all, these little cutie pies were born here.

So, we are going to answer the zoo’s request and make some suggestions: How about Seamus, Mary, Harry, Frank, Aloysius or Josie?
