On Sunday, Oct. 25 The News will publish its annual Men of Newton special section. Since 2005, the editorial board has selected 10 men who have significantly contributed to this community to be featured in the autumn special section.
This year's 10 men have accomplished everything from being the first black sheriff of Newton County to winning national storytelling awards to working his way up to the top of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
Their names combined with the names of all the honorees of years past create a patchwork of reasons this county is so great.
We truly feel these selections are an honor and that these men deserve even higher accolades than our print space can afford. Please join us in congratulating the 10 of 2009 on the last Sunday in October.
