In today's paper there are photos of the changing of the leadership of the local Rotary club and a photo of some Rotarians volunteering at Camp Sunshine, a camp in Rutledge for children who have cancer.
This is kind of a delicate point to make, but it's true: You will notice that most of the members shown are, let's say, "experienced" in life. Many have spent hours of their personal life volunteering their time to help others in the community.
If you would look at pictures of our local Kiwanis and Lions Club, you will notice the same.
These civic groups has been the backbone of giving in this community for years.
What we need in these times of financial strife is for more people to come forward and give of their time.

Consider volunteering your time. There are a myriad of projects out there in need of your help.
If you would like to volunteer, email us. Tell us what you would like to do and we will put you in touch with the appropriate organization.
To our Rotarians and Kiwanians and Lions, thank you. We will never be able to tell you that enough.
