Happy St. Patrick's Day

Today is a day revered by the Irish throughout the world, as they, and some of us here, celebrate our heritage.

Though most celebrations were held either Friday and Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day is about much more than just lifting a toast and dancing with merriment; it’s about a people who rose above famines and overcame prejudice in a new world where they would become leaders of our country, our military, our social conscious and our very culture.

So, to all of our Irish readers and those that would like to be Irish, have a grand day and give a special thanks to your forefathers, who never stopped trying to be the best they could and who helped make the United States the finest country on earth.

Here’s a special toast for you:

May you have warm words on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill all the way to your door.
