Our community grieves today for a young boy and his father.
We grieve over the tragic, untimely death of 4-year-old Diishaun Minor, who, while playing, ran behind his family’s vehicle as his father was backing it out of the driveway.
We grieve for a father who has to live with this nightmare the rest of his life.
We know that our community’s residents have this family in their prayers and special thoughts.
Lessons that we can learn from such tragedies are that life is not controlled by us, but by a higher authority, and that, in dealing with the safety of children, we can never take anything for granted.
