Fall festivals

The last few days after a miserable past week have been pretty near perfect as far as weather goes. We know a lot of folks are anxious to get out this weekend to enjoy our grand fall weather in Georgia.
May we suggest a short trip to the pretty little city of Social Circle?

On Saturday city folks will be celebrating their 15th Friendship Festival. This event is sponsored by Social Circle Better Hometown and begins at 10 a.m. and continues until about 4 p.m.

The festival kicks off with a parade and features vendors, music, good food and good old neighborly friendship.

This weekend also boasts the Yellow River Jam in Porterdale and the Cars of the Past Car Show in Covington.

It's great to live in a community like we have in Newton County and Social Circle where family events like the Friendship Festival are a regular part of our normal life and not the exception.
