To the editor: Last week Troy Davis was executed for the crime of murdering an off-duty police man.
He is not the first person to be put to death who was felt to be innocent by many people. He was an imperfect human who could have committed the crime of which he was accused.
What about Jesus Christ? He was put to death, and he committed no wrong doing.
So we have to go back to the Christian writing of the Holy Scriptures. "So then each of us will rend an account for himself to God," Romans 14:12.
All true Christians should keep that in mind.
