Dear Sirs: Your coverage of the 183rd historic Salem Campmeeting was truly outstanding.

Covington is truly blessed to have a news organization that promotes the good events that take place in our county.

A. J. Archer, Sabastian Wee and Gabriel Khouli all did great stories that so many people enjoyed reading. William Brawley did a good video coverage of the Sunday morning series and other events.

Thanks to the Boy Scouts of Troops 151 and 222 for carrying over 30 American flags for the flag ceremony Sunday morning.

And I hope the entire community will thank Jim Stalvey of Stalvey's Fine Food for providing a meal for over 65 of the Rainbow Covenant Community Shelter residents to enjoy at the Ramsey Pavilion. They later attended the 8 p.m. Wednesday service. Attendees at the campmeeting were very impressed by the report the Rev. Clara Lett gave about her ministry.

Campmeeting was one of the most successful ever, and we hope to have another neat great meeting next year July 6-13, 2012.
