Telling It Like It Is . . . Time to Change

It's too early to tell how 2017 is shaping up, but, I can already tell it's going to be an interesting year.

January has already proven to be eventful with all the hoopla leading up to 'Trump Day.'

2017 is indeed a year of new beginnings politically, with a new president, several new members of Congress, new governors, mayors, judges and what promises to be a change of direction for our nation.

2016 was a year of dissension and separation, of violence, distrust and bitter disappointment but

2017 promises to be full of surprises, challenges and changes, especially for me, but, one thing is certain – it has  to be a good year because it can't get any worse than 2016.

Politically, personally and emotionally 2016 was a really rough year for a lot of folks, but, by the grace of God we made it and it's going to be better, not overnight, but you can count on it.

Me and Donald Trump have a few things in common —We may not look glamorous on the outside, we might sometimes speak up when we shouldn't but when we do, we just 'tell it like It is' and don't hold back cause sometimes that's the only way to be heard.

Regardless what you think of the election results and President elect Trump it's time America unites. Its got to start with each of us, each community, town, state and nation and work together.

Enough of the electorate has decided that there needs to be a change, not another smoke and mirrors charade, but a roll up the sleeves and actually get something done leader, someone who will stand up to the UN and the foreign leaders who openly defy us, someone who is not afraid of a hostile media, who will rebuild our military. Who will lead from the front, not from the back.

Someone who loves America for what it is, what it has always been, the land of the free, home of the brave where someone, regardless of color, creed or social status, who has a dream in their heart and a fire in their belly can make that dream a reality.

Change isn't always easy but it can be a good thing but its requires commitment and hard work but the payoff is worth it.

I don't make new year’s resolutions anymore cause I don't believe in them and they're too easily broken, especially the diet one and to be honest, the only thing I still believe in is Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

I don't do diets or exercise but I do try to watch what and how much I eat and adopt a healthier lifestyle. I've got a feeling it's going to be a good year in achieving these goals though because I've got inspiration, determination, lots of support and a pint sized princess who definitely keeps me on my toes. She is my inspiration for everything, especially getting and staying healthy and if I follow her lead it will make things much easier.

For starters, she doesn't eat whenever the mood strikes and she prefers fruits, vegetables, water and only occasional sweets so she's got the right idea. We share food so I don't eat as much and she insists we spend as much time as possible outdoors, walking or playing games.

When I'm not preoccupied with grandkids, I'm constantly trying to find time to keep my readers entertained and enlightened and cross off a few things on my bucket list.

You'll want to stay tuned because I'm already working on some things I know you'll enjoy. Whether it's the Rowe House or the White House, there's never a dull moment.
