Wynelle Carter Cobb passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 17, 2018. She was born in Martin on Aug. 21, 1924 and was the daughter of Carlene Davis Carter and Albert Carter. She had worked earlier for many years at Roadway Express where she met and married Charlie. After retirement, she and Charlie moved to Covington to enjoy a quieter lifestyle. She was an active member at Salem United Methodist Church in Covington and arrived there often carrying a casserole or dessert she had made. She was a member of the Otis Nixon Sunday School Class.
Wynelle and Charlie did a lot of traveling and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences. She rode a camel, was baptized (again) in the Jordan River, and had other interesting experiences throughout their travels.
