Woodrow Wilson, Sr., of Covington, died February 12, 2009, at the age of 93. A native of Dooley County, he was a farmer for 25 years. Mr. Wilson was employed by B.F. Goodrich in Thomaston, GA, for 16 years, F.M.C. in DeKalb County for 17 years, and Printpack in the Carrollton area for 6 years. He attended Christ Cornerstone Church in Covington. Mr. Wilson was a man of integrity, always thoughtful of others, and loved his family and fellow man. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Verna Killingsworth Wilson; and parents, Lon and Mary Ella Matthews Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Wilson of Covington; daughter, Mary Linda Hill of LaGrange; son, Woody Wilson of Covington; grandchildren, Robert Jr. and Michelle Smith, Jerri Smith, Lorelei and Leon Tucker, Stephen Smith, Dawn and Robbie Green, Heather Leigh Debroux; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wilson will be held Sunday, February 15, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., with Pastor Darrell Payne officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family received friends at the funeral home, Saturday, February 14, from 5-8 PM.
