Willie Mae Barr Greenwood 91, of Mansfield passed away April 22, 2015 at The Retreat in Monticello. She was born in Monticello, Ga to the late Johnnie and Mammie E. Barr. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Adolph Greenwood, and several brothers and sisters.

Willie Mae was a loving wife, sister, aunt and was loved by all who knew her. She was an avid seamstress and was an artist who painted beautiful pictures. Willie Mae was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. She married Adolph then moved to Texas where she lived for 72 years. She worked in factories, and then in her later years she went to work as a housekeeper for the Abdo family whom she loved dearly. Willie Mae lived a long and healthy life and she will be missed dearly by her faithful friends and family.

She is survived by her step-children, Herbert Greenwood and Jennifer Davis; sisters Ruby L. Banks, Emma (Pelman) Norman, Arrie Steward, Mable Gude, Mildred (Larry) Dennis, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Greenwood will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness 2914 Fairview Rd. Covington, Georgia 30016 with Brother Melvin King officiating.
