William "Scott" Carpenter, 51, of Covington, passed away Dec. 28. He enjoyed working out and was an avid hunter and sportsman. A horse racing fan, he never missed a Kentucky Derby in 24 years. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father William Carpenter and sister Debra Doan.

Survivors include his loving wife Andrea "Fred" Whisenhunt Carpenter of Covington; daughter Loren Carpenter of Florida; mother Sandra Carpenter of Louisville, Ky.; niece and nephews Tiffany, Jason and Austin; and his four-legged family and hunting companions Axel and The Ahrnold.

Funeral services for Mr. Carpenter were held Dec. 30 at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Butch Davis officiating.
