Walter Kenneth Britt of Covington, passed away July 6, 2010, at the age of 60. Mr. Britt was a skilled leather worker; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and classic cars. He loved his family dearly, and loved being a Papa – always showing his love to his grandchildren. Mr. Britt loved his church, Solid Rock Baptist, and studied his Bible often. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Britt was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Keelie Nicole Britt; and parents, Walter Austin Britt and Sue Anne (Meadows) Burch. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Mary D. (Mote) Britt; sons and daughter-in-law, Scottie Lee Britt, Stevie and Sonya Britt, Nicholas Britt, all of Covington; grandchildren, Kristinea and Tabitha Britt, Angel and Nicky Jones, Kayla Goodenough, Sabrina and Natasia Wood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Brenda Britt of Cleveland, GA, Rick and Dale Britt, Joe Britt; step-mother, Lois Britt, all of Lawrenceville. Funeral Services for Mr. Britt will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, July 9, from 6-8 PM.
