Vivian O'Kelley Bouchillon of Covington, passed away January 13, 2011, at the age of 83. Mrs. Bouchillon was born in Porterdale, to the late John William and Odie Bell (Bowen) O'Kelley, and has remained a life-long resident of Newton County. She was well-known, and liked by all who knew her. She was employed by Hutch Clothing, until the store closed, and then C.R. Bard before retiring. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Mrs. Bouchillon was a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bouchillon.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Alford of Covington, step-children, Wayne Bouchillon of Covington, June Randell of Decatur, Linda Walden, Ginger Byrd, both of Covington; grandchildren, Michael Bowen, Monica Richardson, Mike Bouchillon, Kelly Dittman, Baxter Bouchillon, Julie Randell, Lee Walden, Todd Walden, Allyson Davis, Dean Byrd, Christy Johnson; great-grandchildren, Tony Gilbert, Chris Gilbert, Danae Bowen, Emma Bowen, Haylee Richardson, Tory, Liane, and Taylor Bouchillon, Ashley and Trace Davis, Hayden Johnson, Grace and Nate Walden; sisters, Louise Dukes of Gainesville, Lois Watts of Covington; brothers and sister-in-law, Ruben and Bobbie O'Kelley of Covington, Raymond O'Kelley of Alabama.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bouchillon will be held Monday, January 17, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Rev. James Barber officiating, and interment following in Covington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, January 16, from 6-9 PM.
