Virginia Sullivan, 76, of Oxford, passed away at Westbury Health and Rehab in Conyers.  Daughter of the late John Calvin and Willie Mae Fisher, she was a member of Porterdale Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  Mrs. Sullivan worked for the Disaster Relief Group and also enjoyed gardening, and traveling.  She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend to many.  Mrs. Sullivan is preceded in death by her husband, George T. Sullivan, and her parents, John and Willie Mae Fisher.

 

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Terry Moore of Oxford; sons and daughters-in-law, David T. and Beth Sullivan of Oxford, Danny George and Kristen Sullivan of South Windsor, CT; grandchildren, Daniel Kitchens, Cody Kitchens, Ginie Moore, Janie Moore, Seth Sullivan, Zack Sullivan, Amber Sullivan Soley, Thomas Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan and Noel Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Savannah Kitchens, Danielle Kitchens, Liam Scroggs; sister and brother-in-law, Rendy and Ralph Abercrombie of Covington; brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Musette Fisher of Oxford.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Sullivan will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, March 18, from 5 – 8 PM.  Flowers are acceptable or memorial donations may be made to ALS Association of Georgia, 1955 Cliff Valley Way, Suite 116, Atlanta, GA  30329.
