Mrs. Veronica A. Gudelanis, 91, of Rutledge passed away Jan. 22. The daughter of the late Charles and Julia Totsky Vilgos, she was born in 1920 in Mayfield, Pa. Mrs. Gudelanis was very active in her church in her younger years; she loved to knit, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter S. Gudelanis and sisters and brothers Eleanor Liuzzo, Charles Vilgos, Joseph Vilgos, Michael Vilgos, John Vilgos and Mary Vilgos
Mrs. Gudelanis is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Sam Fortin of Rutledge and Carolyn Roperta and Mark Sanders, of Charleston, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law Robert W. and Doreen Gudelanis of Lawrenceville; sibings and their spouses Anthony and Pat Vilgos, of Minnesota, Paul and Joyce Vilgos and Viola and Mike Natishak, all of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dianna and Lee Williams of Rutledge and Lisa and Pat Wright of Lawrenceville along with a great granddaughter Savannah Marie Williams and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 11524 Hwy 278 E., with Father Roberto A. Orellana officiating. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to The Caring Place 1140 Monticello Road Suite 400, Madison, GA 30650.
