Mr. Tommy Ellis, age 60, of Oxford passed away October 22, 2012 at his home. He was born November 29, 1951 in Atlanta to the late Harvey and Peggy Matthews Ellis. Mr. Ellis loved woodworking, coin collecting and NASCAR. His was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife Susan Ellis, his daughter and son-in-law Becky and Charles Wilson of Oxford, his sons and daughters-in-law Doug and Monica Ellis and Clint and Krystal Ellis all of Covington along with 10 grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law Frank and Debbie Ellis of Covington and Jimmy Ellis of Oxford his sisters and brother-in-law Judy and Russell Oglesby of Eatonton and June Stephens of Monticello along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
Graveside services for Mr. Ellis will be held at 11 O’clock Wednesday at the Cornish Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Travis Price officiating. The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. J.C.
