Mr. Tommie Lee Freeman was born Feb. 20, 1953, in Newton County to the late Willie Kate Hudson Freeman and Mr. Alvin Freeman.

He attended R.L. Cousins High School and graduated in 1970, he attended South Carolina State College, graduated in 1974. He then joined the United States Army where he returned there as a captain. Tommie was loved by everyone and he loved everyone.

Jesus called him home on April 8, 2017, he was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Alvin (Willie Kate) Freeman, two sisters, Ms. Sallie Brown and Mrs. Rosetta Wilconon.

He leaves to mourn two sisters, Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Willie Pearl) Stanley and Mr. & Mrs. Herman (Myrna) Carr, two brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Freddie (Alice) Freeman and Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Clara) Jordan, goddaughter, Ms. Jasmine Marks, a devoted niece, Ms. Lutricia Simmons; devoted nephew, Minister Alge and a host of other relatives and friends.
