Timothy Owen Tyler, 48, of Covington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was the loving son of Gail Tyler of Covington; deeply devoted father to his children, Chantz and Madison Tyler; a newly proud grandfather to Madison’s son, Brayden; and a loving brother and uncle to Dane Tyler and his family, all who survive him and all of Covington.
Tim’s father, Frank Tyler, preceded him in death.
Tim was born on June 8, 1967, in Atlanta. For more than 25 years, he was a respected and well-known businessman in Conyers and Covington as the owner/operator of Tyler’s Hair Salon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks those wishing to pay their respects to Tim’s memory do so by donation to a trust fund in the name of his grandson, Braydon Scully Tyler. This can be done by mailing or delivering a check to Account #0005449668016 at any BB&T branch in Covington. This is a deposit only account.
A memorial service for Tim will be held Friday, December 18, at 2 p.m. at Wheeler’s Funeral Home in Covington. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.
Tim Tyler loved his children without condition and nothing was of more importance to him than his family. His mother will remember him always as a most loving son, and his brother will remember always that Tim was not only his beloved brother, but his best friend.
Family and friends who knew Tim Tyler best knew him as a kind, sweet, gentle soul. The memory of all that was good in him will always be cherished, and what has now been lost will always be mourned, but with the comfort of knowing Tim is now with the Good Shepherd and will fear no more.
