Susan Gilstrap Sears of Covington passed away Dec. 16. The daughter of Amos and Lallie Tippens, she was born Aug. 30, 1946.

Mrs. Sears is survived by her loving husband. Larry Sears; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Donny Phelps Sr.; stepchildren, Crystal Bell, David Sears, David Gilstrap, Ronnie Gilstrap, Ricky Gilstrap, Gary Gilstrap, Rita Gilstrap; grandchildren, Danny Travis, Renee Travis, Caleb Travis, Haleigh Phelps, Dee Dee Phelps, Danny Phelps Jr., Mykinzi Sears, Nathan Sears, Chelsea Bell, Zachary Bell; numerous step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Falandys of Snellville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lonnie Gilstrap and parents, Amos and Lallie Tippens.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Faith Tabernacle UPC with Dr. Jerry Patterson officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19.
