Sue P. Bridges of Covington, died April 7, 2009, at the age of 73. Born to the late Allison Marvin and Lucille Pilkington, she spent most of her life working as a legal secretary. Mrs. Bridges was a foster parent who loved her family, her dogs, and she enjoyed reading. Mrs. Bridges taught Sunday School for many years, and spent many hours studying her Bible. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Charles Russell Pilkington. Survivors include her brother, James Howard, and his wife, Sarah Pilkington of Macon; niece, Amanda S. Smith of Rutledge; nephew, James A., and his wife, Vicky Pilkington of Covington; great niece, Julie, and her husband, Michael Priest; great nephew, Matt, and his wife, Crystal Pilkington; great-great nephews, Michael and Shane Priest, Aaron and Landon Pilkington, all of Covington. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Bridges was held Thursday, April 9, 2009, 6 PM, at Calvary Community Church, 120 Crowell Rd., in Conyers.
