Sharon Young Womack, of Newborn, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the age of 79.

Mrs. Womack was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Covington. After 15 years with Sweetheart Plastics, she went to work for Ronthor Plastics and eventually retired after 25 years of service. Friendly and personable, Mrs. Womack was a natural at selling Avon cosmetics, which she did for 20 years. In addition to being outdoors and working in her garden, she took pride in cooking delicious meals for her family. To those who knew her, Mrs. Womack will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Womack; sons Robert Womack and Michael Womack; as well as her parents, Abram Owen and Lois (Haight) Young.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Richard Pollard; sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Nicki Womack and Chris and Jamie Womack; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice Rogers and Carol Wells; brother, Abe Young; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Womack will begin at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10235 Eagle Drive, Covington, with burial following in Newborn Memorial Cemetery, Newborn.

Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 26. Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025.
