Mrs. Sharon Parris Almand, 33, a lifelong resident of Covington and Conyers died Jan. 25. She was born in DeKalb County on Dec. 26, 1975 to John and Marie (McDonald) Parris. Mrs. Almand worked as a teller at BB&T. She enjoyed playing tennis and staying in touch with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Joshua Almand of Covington; daughters, Ashlee Girdler of Covington, Brooklyne Almand of Covington; son, Jordan Almand of Covington; parents, John and Marie Parris of Conyers; brothers, Robert Parris and Steve Parris both of Conyers; brother and sister-in-law, David and Ginnie McCollum of Jackson; several nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27. The funeral service for Mrs. Almand will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Parris and the Rev. Leon Bohannon officiating. Interment will follow at Lorraine Church Cemetary. In lieu of flowers please make donations to help pay for the funeral expenses. Friends may sign the online registry at www.wheelerfuneral.home.com.
