Sarah Evelyn Hewell Kent passed away on April 11. She was born in Porterdale but lived most of her life in Atlanta and Covington. She graduated from Porterdale High School and retired from America Fore Insurance Group after 30 years of service. For the past three years she has lived in Gainesville, Fla., with her sister Betty Beaver and her husband Tom. She is preceded in death by her husband Johny Kent and brother James Hewell.

Surviving are sisters, Betty Beaver, Newberry, Fla., Annie Lee Denny, Covington, and Rosa Harvey, Jackson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, April 14, at Caldwell & Cowan, Access Road. Burial will be held at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
