Sarah Amanda (Manda) Dodd of Covington, died July 17, 2011, at the age of 24. Manda worked as a medical receptionist for Rockdale Family Practice for 2 years; and was a member of The Church at Covington. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved music. Manda liked riding on the back of motorcycles, and loved going to drag races. She loved life, and was a loving and devoted mother.

Survivors include her daughter, Sara Elaine Ellis of Covington; fiancé, Jesse Curbow of Conyers; mother, Kathy Whitcomb of Concord, NC; father, Rick Dodd of Bradenton, FL; step-father, Ed Whitcomb of Conyers; brother, Shane Dodd of Covington; grandmother, Frances Dodd of Porterdale.

A Memorial Service for Manda will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011, 2:00 PM, at The Church at Covington, with Pastor David Payne officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, from 1-2 PM.
