Ruth Wilson King, 90 of Covington, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 at the Benton House in Covington. She was born in Covington, GA to the late Joseph and Beulah (Wheeler) Wilson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold William King; brothers, Everett Wilson, Randle Wilson and Joe Wilson; sisters, Gladys Smith, Louise Haynes and Lynda Hasty.

She loved sewing, crocheting and cooking.

Mrs. King was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Ann King of Covington; granddaughters and spouse,  Kelly and Ben Cleary of Albany and Lanie King of Dahlonega, GA.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Samuel F. Rutland and the Rev. Dr. William L. Herndon officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home.
