Robert Lee Daniel, of Covington, died peacefully at his home, Wednesday September 2, 2009, at the age of 53. Son of the late Harold Eugene, Sr. and Erna H. Huber Daniel, he was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1972-1974. Mr. Daniel started in the upholstery business in the 1970’s and later opened Covington Mill Upholstery in 1998 and retired in December of 2008. He was ordained as an Apostolic and Pentecostal minister in 1994 by Pastor Grady Eberhardt and in 2009, was ordained into the International Ministry with Community Worship Center in Conyers. Mr. Daniel was a true man of God and loved the Lord with all his heart, living what he believed. He worked hard to provide for his family, who he loved dearly and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Daniel is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Daniel. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Becky C. Daniel of Covington; daughters and son-in-law, Joy Daniel-Cason and husband Sonny, Katy Daniel all of Covington; grandchildren, Trent Cason, Riley Cason, Zackery Cason; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debby Bellew of Covington, Tammy and Mike Eagle of Rutledge, Bridgette and Jamie Willard of Covington, Patricia Daniel of California; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kurt and Mary Daniel of Newborn, Harold, Jr. and Yvonne Daniel of Mansfield, Jimmy and Anita Daniel of Social Circle; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Daniel will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2:00 PM, at Community Worship Center in Conyers, with Brother Glenn Purvis and Brother Ed Walden officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, on Friday, September 4, from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM.
