Robert J. Breza, 81, of Conyers, died March 23. the son of the late John Joseph and Rose Mary Salamon Breza, he was born in New runswick, N.J. He attended Rahway High in Rahway, N.J. and Columbia University, receiving a BS in chemistry and a BS in Engineering. He worked for General Foods for 33 years in various locations, including Dover, Del, and Hoboken, N.J. He began playing violin at the age of 3 and was an accomplished violinist, playing in various community orchestras, including summit Symphony, Hilton head Orchestra and the Conyers-Covington orchestra. Mr. Breza enjoyed researching family genealogy, cooking, traveling, collecting stamps and visiting relatives. Most important to him was his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Breza was preceded in death by brother E. Richard Breza.
Surviving are wife Betty Jean Breza; daughters and sons-in-law Marika and Randy Kanipe of Covington, Barbara and Brian Coyne of Larchmont, N.Y.; grandchildren James R. Kanipe, Rebekah A. Kanipe, Elizabeth R. Coyne.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28, at 4 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Kanipe officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conyers-Covington Orchestra, Robert J. Breza Fund, c/o Mrs. Arlene Woods, 270 Doubles Dr., Covington, Ga. 30016.
