HUNTER Mr. Robert J. “Bob” Hunter of Covington, moving here 19 years agor from Sandy Springs, died Thursday, January 7, 2010. He was born in Anniston, Alabama on October 13, 1928 to the late Bronson Eugene and Anna Belle (Robertson) Hunter. He proudly served our country during World War II as a pilot in the United States Navy.  Mr. Hunter was of the Methodist faith.  He was a member of American Legion Post 77, a member of the Optimist Club of Conyers once serving as secretary and a member of the American Printer’s Association. Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife: Violet (Perry) Hunter of Covington; children: Randy and Brian Main of Jackson, Michigan, Deborah and Joel Morris of Conyers, Georgia, Robert J. Hunter, Jr. and his wife Donna Stearns of Conyers, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law: Forrest and Char Fant of Toledo, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. A memorial service for Mr. Hunter will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home.   Rev. Dwight Garrett will officiate the service.
