Richard E. Allen, of Covington, died January 5, 2010, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Allen. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Allen of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jr. Hardy of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Michelle Allen of Covington, Todd Allen of Conyers; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; mother, Cecil Mae Allen of Covington; sisters, Evelyn Allen of Covington, Sandra Jones of Jackson, Jackie Thomason of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Reginald and Debbie Allen of Pensacola, FL, Larry and Brenda Allen of Jackson, Tommy and Nancy Allen of Covington, Stanley Allen of Sebring, FL; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2:00 PM, at the Floyd Street Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Jones officiating, and entombment following in New Covington Cemetery.
