Randolph Crews, 73, of Oxford, passed away Feb. 14. Mr. Crews was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, or IBEW, for more than 30 years. He retired from the city of Covington, as a lineman for the electrical department, after seven years. He enjoyed freshwater fishing, watching his vegetable garden grow and traveling to Florida to visit his family where he enjoyed staying in his mother's home. Mr. Crews was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Valerie (Lockhart) Crews and his parents James Lesley and Elizabeth Crews.Survivors include his daughters Barbara Pruett of Monroe, Stephenie Ellis of Oxford; sons and daughter-in-law Gregory Crews of Starke, Fla., Christopher and Jessica Crews of Oxford; sister and brother-in-law Jeanette and Cecil West of Starke; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Darlene Crews, all of Starke, Fla.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Crews will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Archie Tanner Funeral Services, in Starke, Fla., with the Rev. Gene Bass officiating, and interment following in New Zion Cemetery, in Lulu, Fla.
