Mr. Ralph Hull died Oct. 21. The son of Mrs. Rena Mae Benson and Mr. Frank Houston, he was born in 1949 in DeKalb County. Mr. Huff learned early the meaning of hard work. His journey took him from being a police officer on the Atlanta Police Force, to the Atlanta Dairy, to starting his own lawn service business. Mr. Huff was a long-standing member of the Jeff Long Grand Lodge of Georgia and the F&AM Masons. He was chaplain of Louis Styles No. 163 where he preached and helped his Masonic brothers in their charity works. Mr. Huff had a warm smile and a jolly laugh. He was the life of a party, and loved togetherness and a good time.
Surviving are mother Mrs. Rena Mae Benson; daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey (LaQuinta) Harper; brothers and sister-in-law Mr. Reginald Benson, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory (Marie) Benson; sisters Ms. Valerie Benson, Lisa Benson; aunt Mrs. Ethel Clark; uncles Mr. Loyld Charles, Carl Huff, Charles Huff, George Hilliard Huff; great uncle and great aunt Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Julia) Dobbs; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at Rust Chapel United Methodist Church, Oxford, with the Rev. James Collins officiating. Interment followed in the Oxford Historical Cemetery.
