Pat Jeffries of Covington, died September 12, 2009, at the age of 95. Mr. Jeffries was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, and retired from Mobile Chemical after several years of employment. He loved to crochet, and did so until the age of 94. Mr. Jeffries was an avid Braves fan, and rarely missed a game. Mr. Jeffries was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Lynch Jeffries; his parents; and his brothers. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Jonas Smith of Leesburg, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Pam Jeffries of Covington; grandsons, Jeff Smith of Oviedo, FL, Chris Jeffries of Covington; great-grandchildren, Blake, Olivia, and Logan Smith of Oviedo, FL, Bradley Caron and Morgan Jeffries of Covington; sisters, Mary Dial of Covington, Loy Gunn of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Jeffries will be held Monday, September 14, 2009, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 3134 Floyd St., with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, September 13, from 6-9 PM.
