Otis Lee Burton died Feb. 15. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther (Early Mae Bird) Burton Sr., he was born in 1958. He was preceded in deaby by brother James Burton and son Luther. Mr. Burton was raised and educated in Benton Harbor, Mich. He was a comical and loving person, always full of life. During his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching western movies on television.
Surviving are children Derrick “Monque” Calhoun of Indianapolis, Ind., Otis Burton Jr. of Benton Harbor, M’Tesha Burton of Grand Rapids, Mich; six grandchildren; siblings Gwen (Willie) Johnson, Andrew Burton of Arlington, Texas, Charles (Lyn) Burton, Dorothy Whitfield of Covington, Rita (Carl) Matthews of Charlotte, N.C., Bee Foreman of Hope, Mich., Liz (Stacy) Reed of Lansing, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services were held Feb. 20 at Young Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Mays Jr., officiating. Interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
