Mrs. Ollie Mae Morrell, 91, of Covington, passed away on Oct. 19.

Mrs. Morrell enjoyed sewing and loved flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was the oldest member of Higher Praise Tabernacle.

Mrs. Morrell was preceded in death by her husband John Daniel Morrell; daughter Linda Mae Morrell; four grandsons Wesley Fuller, Timothy Morrell, Danny Crowe and Michael Crowe; great-great-grandson Bobby Couch; parents James Robert and Exie Mae (Etcheson) Woodruff; two sisters Ella Fuller and Hazel Milligan; and brother Ervin Woodruff.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws Sylvia Crowe of Covington, Phyllis and Marshall Smith of Covington, Shelia and Wayne Fuller of Jackson, Patty McCormick, of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law James Edward and Jeanette Morrell of Hiawassee, Pastor Kenneth and Arlene Morrell of Covington; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 25 great great-grandchildren; sisters Pauline Carter, Modell Montgomery and Etta House all of Monroe; brothers and sisters-in-law,James and Pat Woodruff of Hampton, Herbert and Virginia Woodruff of Covington, Arthur Woodruff of Norcross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Morrell will be held at 3 p.m. today, Oct. 21, at Higher Praise Tabernacle, 2025 Ga. Highway 212, in Covington, with Pastor Kenneth Morrell and Assistant Pastor Jay Peacock officiating and interment following in Liberty Cemetery, in Porterdale.
