Mr. Ned Brown died Jan. 13. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Sinclair Scott) Brown, he and his twin brother were born in 1936 in Henry County. Mr. Brown was raised in Henry County, graduating from Henry County Training School in 1955. He then worked at Georgia Tech and later at Delta Air Lines as a Customer Service Ramp Agent, retiring after 30 years of service. He joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, McDonough, at an early age. He later joined Grace United Methodist Church, Covington, becoming an active member. Mr. Brown served as trustee and steward, sang in the adult choir and was a member of the United Methodist Men. He faithfully attended the Men’s Sunday School Class until his health declined. Mr. Brown was a member of Friendship Lodge No. 20, serving as treasurer for many years. He married Josephine English. Mr. Brown was a humble person with a kind and loving disposition. During his spare time, he enjoyed reading, lawn grooming, automobile upkeep and especially spending quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his brother Samuel Brown.

Surviving are wife Mrs. Josephine E. Brown; children Wanda (Jerome) Brown, Dexter (Jacqueline) Brown; grandchildren Tiffany Danielle, Sterling Rashad, Trevaris Jermaine, Déana Simone, Danielle Nicole; brothers James (Ruby) Brown, Ted (Dannetta) Brown; sister-in-law Eugenia A. Nevels; special friends T.K. (Louise) Adams, Lee (Deborah) Pittman, the Grace UMC Methodist Men; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Murphy officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Richard Coaxum, the Rev. Delores Thomas, and the Rev. Sherman D. Lewis. Interment followed at Westside Cemetery.
