Obituary
Ms. Carrie Lee Jones was born January 27, 1923 to the late Mr. Eddie Lovejoy and Ms. Bessie Sweet Jones.
Ms. Carrie was a devoted member of the Mt. Zion AME Church in Mansfield, Georgia where she served on the Stewardess Board, Pastor's Aid Board, Secretary of the Church, Treasurer of the Church, President of the Choir and Emeritus Trustee. She served diligently for many years, especially involved in the choir activities and praised her choir director and pianist, Miss Kay F. Porter, along with her Lord, until the day she passed. God has blessed many with his Angel, Carrie Lee.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Bessie Sweet Jones, brothers, Mr. Henry Jones, Mr. Wilson Jones, Mr. Charlie Jones and sister, Mrs. Carlie Jones Belcher, extended family Mr.& Mrs. Whit (Polly) Richardson.
*She leaves a legacy with her twin sister, Ms. Marie Jones, nieces, Ms. Louise Jones, Mrs. Marion Driskell of Covington, GA. large host of nieces, nephews and cousins, who loved her dearly. She was also cherished by the "extended families" ,Mr. & Mrs. Bob (Lee) Richardson of Covington, GA. Mr. & Mrs. John (Daisy) Richardson of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. & Mrs. Jay (Jane) Smith of Montgomery, Alabama, and Mr. & Mrs. Steve (Cindy) Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina They consider her a vital part of their growing family in Covington for over fifty years. *
