Obituary

      Ms. Annie Clara Banks Jackson "Moot" was born April 11, 1927 to the parentage of the late Mr. Jesse and Mrs. Estella Banks. She was the youngest of six children. Her son, Mr. Larry J. Jackson and her grandson, Mr. Lurie Maddox, Jr. preceded her in death.

      Annie Clara received her education at the Social Circle Training High School.

      Annie joined Cargle Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age. Later she transferred her membership to the Graves Chapel A.M.E. Church where she continued to serve faithfully until God called her home. Annie was the proud recipient of the Sarah Allen Award in 2010.

      "Moot" as she was affectionately called had a love for basketball, she played on the high school team at an early age. She also enjoyed acting at the Social Circle Theater and attending church services. Moot had a great love for Shopping and a greater love for the Lord.

      Annie was employed with NEPCO for twenty four years where she retired on April 15, 1989.

      She leaves many loving memories to all who knew her, especially her family, including:, two sons, Mr. &  Mrs. Lurie (Mildred) Maddox, Sr. and Mr. & Mrs. Billy (Juanita) Jackson, one sister, Mrs. Jessie Mae Lightfoot, one brother, Mr. Theodore Banks, one granddaughter, Ms. Angela M. Porter, two grandsons, Mr. Cedric Garrett and Mr. Seth Maddox, three great granddaughters, Ms. Alancia Porter, Little Miss Shelbe Bolden and Little Miss Akira Garrett, one great grandson, Mr. Darius Garrett  and a host of nieces, nephews,  cousins, extended family members and close friends.
