On September 24, 1956, the late Mr. Clifford McKibben Jr. and Annie Lois Sims McKibben were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Sharon Diane McKibben. She was the fourth child out of nine children. Sharon received her education in the Newton County School System and graduated in the year 1974.

“Shay” as we all affectionately called her, joined Good Hope Baptist Church at an early age, she was a very fun loving, very intelligent lady and the “coolest” as her nieces, nephews, and friends would say. She enjoyed hanging with her family, cooking, and Mexican food (her favorite). She was adored by many; you would never know what she will say next.

On October 22, 2014, our beloved Shay entered into eternal life. She leaves to cherish memories one daughter, Ms. Tonya McKibben, and her companion, Jeffery Thomas; three sons: Mr. Alvin Cedric Benton, Mr. Ricky Nelson Devoe, Mr. & Mrs. Christopher (Chantel) Devoe. A loving Mother, Mrs. Annie Lois Sims-McKibben. Nine Siblings: Ms. JoAnn Sims, Mr & Mrs. Johnny (Evaughn) McKibben, Mr. & Mrs. Arbie (Jannifer) McKibben, Mr. & Mrs. Ronnie (Cynthia) Hurst, Mr. & Mrs. Rick (Gail) Barber, Mr. Darnell McKibben, Mr. Wallace McKibben, and Ms. Kara Justice. Also cherishing her memories are 12 grandchildren and a devoted granddaughter: Alexius Thomas, Letice, Alvin Cedric, Ryan, Kaleb, Christopher Jr., Amaya, Heaven, Jordan, Aaliya, Janelle, Breyahna. Several aunts, and uncle, cousins and friends.
Shay will be missed, her smile, laughter, and sense of humor.
